Week 12 - "Conga" by Gloria Estefan

This week, I'd like to post about the song "Conga" by Gloria Estefan! This song has always been a fun one; it talks purely about dancing. I can't recall the first time I heard it, but I was probably just a kid. Learning about this song in class was fun, especially because we were able to watch what looked like the music video. It seemed to really portray the mood and excitement of the song, and even a life performance of this song. A fun fact about "Conga" that I found is that it was played repeatedly in clubs in the 1980's, when the song came out to the public. Hi, my name is Kam. I have a few favorite artists, but bands especially. I'd have to say my favorite artist is The Weeknd or Kid Cudi, and one of my favorite bands is Vacation Manor.

Week 7 - "Hotel California" by The Eagles

This week, I'm choosing to do my blog post on the song "Hotel California" by The Eagles. First and foremost, this piece actually happens to be one of my most favorite songs ever, and has been as long as I can remember. It's actually one of my dads top favorite songs as well, and I give him the credit for always playing it and me loving it ever since I was a child. It gives me the best feeling in the world. When I saw on the study guide that this was going to be one of our songs this unit, I got so excited! It's funny, it's actually a pretty lengthy song; but every single second is so perfect. This song is such a throwback, yet I still listen to it regularly. It takes me back to when I was a kid; it fills me with the best overwhelming emotions.
