This week for my blog post, I'd like to talk about the song "Superstition" by Stevie Wonder. First and foremost, this is such a great song, and it's by the one and only Stevie Wonder. This guy is amazing. I am so drawn to his voice; it's so strong, clean, and flawless. Then the electronic sounds are the best! I was given an appreciation for the work put into this song by learning that Stevie Wonder had done to achieve his vocals and electronic-sounding aspects of the song. I learned that he was the pioneer for these electronic sound-producing instruments such as the synthesizer. I love that this song still fits into the category for 70's pop/rock, because it is most definitely something most people need to hear! I feel as if the audience this song was created for could be nearly anybody and everybody. It makes you feel good and want to dance!
I enjoy his pieces go music, but I don't listen to him frequently enough. I agree with your description of his voice and how it is flawless as well as song and clean. because it is. as well we your description of the electronic sound of the over dub. great post
ReplyDeleteI enjoy a lot of his music too! I wish that I listen to him but sadly I do not. It is really cool how he trained his vocals to be as good as he is. I think that him being that pioneer is awesome because it is used so much these days in music.
